A Copper Earthing Electrodes are commonly installed into the concrete floor of the primary substation building to protect gas insulated switchgear (GIS) and earth bars are positioned either within or buried immediately outside the building walls. Electrode is a highly advanced product that is based on worldwide technology and offers improved oxidation resistance as well as a longer product life than standard GI Electrodes. The electrode is often preferred as it is suitable for many, if not most, earthing applications. A stroke of lightning caused the generation of fault current that is highly potential to damage the electrical gears. The Copper Earthing Electrodes are very efficient.
